Refund & Return Policy
Village Craft Winemaker
At Village Craft Winemaker, we are committed to delivering a superior brewing experience and ensuring the quality of our products. This Refund & Return Policy outlines the terms and conditions under which refunds, returns, and other remedies may be provided.
1. Quality Assurance
We take pride in the quality of the wine and beer kits offered at our premises. If you encounter any issues related to the quality of the product, please notify us immediately. Our goal is to ensure that you receive a product that meets your expectations.
2. Remake or Refund
In the event of a verified quality issue:
- Remake: Village Craft Winemaker will remake the batch at no additional cost to the customer; all wine in question must be returned to VCW.
- Refund: A refund may be issued for the cost of the kit and any associated brewing fees under the following conditions:
- Full Refund: The customer must return the entirety of the product to receive a full refund.
- Partial Refund: If only a portion of the product is returned, a prorated refund will be issued based on the quantity returned.
3. Custom Orders
Custom orders, including those involving special ingredients, are non-refundable unless a quality issue is verified. The options for a remake or refund as outlined above.
4. After Brewing Commences
Once the brewing process has begun, refunds are only available in cases of verified quality issues. If the wine is not bottled, then it will be dumped as per AGLC rules.
5. Brew Session Rescheduling
Customers may reschedule their brewing session by responding to the Booking appointment from VCW. VCW will fit the customer in.
6. Finality of Resolution
Upon accepting a resolution proposed by Village Craft Winemaker—whether in the form of a remake, refund, or any other remedy—the customer agrees that such resolution is final and binding. Once Village Craft Winemaker has fulfilled its obligations under the agreed resolution, the customer waives any further rights to pursue additional claims or actions, including but not limited to legal proceedings, further complaints, or negative public commentary (e.g., online reviews). Any actions taken contrary to this agreement may be regarded as defamatory, potentially constituting libel or slander, and could result in legal action.
7. Liability Disclaimer
Village Craft Winemaker shall not be held liable for any personal injuries, property damages, or losses incurred during the brewing process, either on our premises or after the product has been bottled and removed from our premises. By participating in the brewing process, the customer assumes all associated risks.
8. Storage and Pickup
Upon completion of the brewing process all wine must be removed from the premises as per AGLC rules. There is no storage of wine at VCW.
9. Legal Age Requirement
All customers must be of legal drinking age in Alberta (18 years or older) to participate in brewing sessions or to purchase alcoholic products. Identification may be required to verify age.
10. Dispute Resolution
We encourage customers to address any concerns or disputes directly with Village Craft Winemaker. If a resolution cannot be reached, disputes will be handled in accordance with the laws of the Province of Alberta.
11. Changes to Policy
Village Craft Winemaker reserves the right to modify or update this Refund & Return Policy at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon being posted on our website or displayed in-store.
