DESCRIPTION:Cabernet Franc day December 4\,2026\, which is one of the wine world’s most important\, yet often understated\, red grape varieties.Today\, Cabernet Franc is one of the most widely planted grape varieties in the world.\nVillage craft Winemaker will be bringing in a limited RQ 27 Cabernet Franc from a Vineyard in the Niagara region for January 2027. Please make sure that you let me know whether you would like to be one of the astute winemaker to enjoy this special Canadian wine. \nIt all began in southwest France sometime in the 17th century with Cardinal Richelieu’s love for a particular blue-black grape. He loved them so much that he transported vine cuttings from Bordeaux to the Loire Valley. The berry has been growing and thriving there ever since. \nToday\, Cabernet Franc is one of the most widely planted grape varieties in the world. It is a blending wine in French wines. Most famous blends are Saint Emilion and Pomerol. \nLuxurious\, food-friendly acidic flavours of cherries\, blackberries and plums combined with toasty nutmeg and vanilla spices\, bring this medium-bodied wine to life \nCab Franc is also the parent of Cabernet Sauvignon \nOn the palate\, it unveils a round mouth feel with the bold tannins  for a remarkably supported finish. \nCabernet Franc is the parent of Cabernet Sauvignon\, Merlot and Carmenere.
